About Philip Neelamegam
I got into Photography when I was 17 in an interesting way. My friend and I were waiting in the corridor of a Church to meet a "Brother". Then a Priest came and asked us "What are you doing here?". We said we were waiting to meet a Brother. He nodded and started to walk away from us. Then he stopped and came back and asked us "Do you know anything about Photography?". We said no. Then he spent the next 45 minutes explaining the basics of Photography. - Shutter speed, Aperture, ISO etc. I was fascinated by what he shared. I came home and took my uncle's Yashica FX 37 and started to check everything he explained. (It was a film camera). In 2001 I learned Professional Photography from "New York Institute of Photography". Until 2008 I was taking pictures using film. Even though I like the convenience of Digital Photography, I still prefer the quality of film Photography.
I like to take pictures of everything - Landscape, Wildlife, Portrait, Fashion etc. In my opinion Photographers enjoy life more than others. They find the beauty in everything.
"Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them."
-- Elliott Erwitt --
Hope you enjoy my work.
